Today I will be heading over to the Australian National Botanic Gardens (ANBG) to gather sounds and images for my exhibition and guided walk happening in May. With some great support from some of the staff working at the ANBG, I have a shortlist of threatened tree species I would like to acknowledge in my project. Here is the list of trees:
- Acronychia littoralis
- Allocasuarina portuensis
- Cupaniopsis shirleyana
- Eucalyptus crenulata
- Eucalyptus langleyi
- Eucalyptus mckieana
- Eucalyptus morrisbyi
- Eucalyptus pulverulenta
- Eucalyptus pumila
- Syzygium paniculatum
Around 90% of the collections in the gardens are electronically mapped and can be located using Find a Plant: http://www.anbg.gov.au/gardens/living/findaplant/fap/index.html
Above are the screen grabs of where each of the trees are located at the gardens.
It looks like it will be a beautiful day today for some tree time.
These events will be featured as part of Canberra Tree Week and the Urban Tree Festival.
